The Southern and Eastern Serbia (Serbian: Јужна и источна Србија, romanized: Južna i istočna Srbija) is one of five statistical regions of Serbia. It is also a level-2 statistical region according to the European NUTS. It was formed in 2010. As of 2022 census, the region has a total of 1,406,050 inhabitants.

After the end of World War I, Serbia was a founder and part of the common state with most South Slavs, originally the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes (later renamed the Kingdom of Yugoslavia) which remained until the occupation by fascist countries in 1941.
