Feb. 2023 · In 1977, per Entertainment Weekly, Claudine Longet's legal woes over the death of partner Spider Sabich came to an end, when she was convicted of criminally negligent homicide, paid a $25 fine and spent a month in a county jail. Her eventual freedom was secured by her legal team, led by local attorney Ron Austin.
6. Mai 2023 · On March 21, 1976, French-American singer Claudine Longet fatally shot her boyfriend, renowned skier Vladimir "Spider" Sabich. Even though Longet's diary revealed that she was jealous of the attention her boyfriend gave other women, this wasn't used as evidence against her in the trial.
28. Juni 2018 · Sabich had been shot in the stomach, at close range, with an imitation World War II model Luger pistol, given to him by his father. Police searched the crime scene and bagged the weapon along with some papers, including Longet’s diary. Sabich died in an ambulance on the way to the hospital.
