Iliac crest. The crest of the ilium (or iliac crest) is the superior border of the wing of ilium and the superiolateral margin of the greater pelvis . Structure. The iliac crest stretches posteriorly from the anterior superior iliac spine (ASIS) to the posterior superior iliac spine (PSIS).
Einer dieser Punkte stellt der Beckenkamm (syn.: Darmbeinkamm, bzw. lat.: Crista iliaca) als obere Begrenzung des Darmbeins dar. Er endet vorne in der Spina iliaca anterior superior und hinten in der Spina iliaca posterior superior. Die Darmbeinkämme dienen der Stabilisierung des Beckenrings.
Die kraniale Kante der Ala ossis ilii ist verdickt und wird daher Crista iliaca (Darmbeinkamm) genannt. An der Crista iliaca finden sich drei Leisten, Labia externum, intermedium und internum. Sie stellen den Ursprungsort unterschiedlicher Bauchmuskeln (M. obliquus externus, internus und transversus abdominis) dar.
