30. Juli 2013 · 30.07.2013, 07:53. Normalerweise verwendet man "fall" wenn man sagt, dass jetzt die Blätter anfangen sich zu verfärben o.Ä aber man nicht direkt von der Jahreszeit spricht... Wenn man von "autumn" spricht meint man nur die Jahreszeit... Ist leider schwer zu erklären, jedoch kannst du getrost beides verwenden ;)
21. Okt. 2019 · Nein, sowohl autumn als auch fall kommen aus dem britischen Raum, in den USA hat es sich Ende des 18. bis Anfang des 19. Jhd. fall stärker durchgesetzt als autumn. Das macht es aber nicht zu AE, denn es wird in Großbritannien weiterhin viel verwendet.

Generally in America, fall is the common term and in the UK, autumn is the commonly used term.|They are the same. It may depend on the region or age of the speaker.
