Ray Gillen (* 12. Mai 1959 in New York City, New York; † 1. Dezember 1993 ebenda) war ein US-amerikanischer Hard-Rock-Sänger. Leben. Gillen wuchs in Cliffside Park, New Jersey auf. Seine musikalischen Haupteinflüsse waren Rockbands der 1970er-Jahre, wie Bad Company, Led Zeppelin und Deep Purple.
Raymond Arthur Gillen (May 12, 1959 – December 1, 1993) was an American rock singer. He is best known for his work with Badlands , in addition to his stint with Black Sabbath in the mid-1980s and recording most of the vocals on Phenomena 's Dream Runner album.

Next came bassist Tony Franklin, formerly of The Firm, and lastly vocalist Ray Gillen, who had previously fronted Black Sabbath for a short time. After solidifying their initial line-up, the band recorded some demos and sent them to Geffen Records with whom Sykes had previously worked with as a member of Whitesnake.
Badlands was an American heavy metal band founded by former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Jake E. Lee, former Black Sabbath members Ray Gillen (vocals) and Eric Singer (drums), as well as former Surgical Steel bass player Greg Chaisson. After the first Badlands album, Singer was replaced by Jeff Martin.
The album was originally to be recorded with Spitz and vocalist Ray Gillen. The former was replaced by bassist/lyricist Bob Daisley during initial sessions on Montserrat with producer Jeff Glixman .
