There are so many amazing hikes on the North Island, and one of my favorites is the Bream Head Scenic Reserve. The Bream Head Scenic Reserveis a series of coastal forests full of native wildlife. New Zealand has many beautiful waterfalls, and one of my favorites is the stunning Otuihau Whangarei Falls. Sehenswürdigkeiten. Neben dem Quayside Way, einer zum Flanieren und Essengehen geeigneten Hafenpromenade des Jachthafens, bietet Whangārei vom „Hausberg“ Mount Parihaka eine mehr als 180 Grad Sicht nach Süden mit Blick über den Whangārei Harbour.
Ein sehr schöner Strand. Die vorgelagerten Inseln, geben dir schon mal einen Vorgeschmack auf die „Bay of Islands“ weiter im Norden. Und ein felsiger Abschnitt an dem sich Seelöwen wohlfühlen, macht den Besuch auch noch etwas interessanter. Du kannst also auch in der Nähe von größeren Städten, wie Whangarei, Neuseelands Natur hautnah erleben.
