The 36-year-old posted a message on Chinese social media outlet Weibo and Instagram on Saturday (4 July) explaining that his body would no longer allow him to reach his previous lofty heights.
Lin Dan (born 14 October 1983) is a Chinese former professional badminton player. He is a two-time Olympic gold medallist, five-time World champion, two-time World Cup champion, as well as a six-time All England champion.
