Das Territorium hat eine Fläche von 482.443 Quadratkilometer, in ihm leben 37.858 Einwohner (Stand 2016). Etwa dreiviertel der Einwohner des Yukon leben in der Hauptstadt Whitehorse. Im Südwesten des Territoriums liegt der mit 5959 Metern höchste Berg Kanadas, der Mount Logan.
