Léo Ferré (* 24. August 1916 in Monaco; † 14. Juli 1993 in Castellina in Chianti, Italien) war ein französischer Dichter, Komponist, Sänger und Anarchist. Ferré gilt als einer der bedeutendsten Chansonniers des 20. Jahrhunderts.

Léo Ferré (24 August 1916 – 14 July 1993) was a French -born Monégasque poet and composer, and a dynamic and controversial live performer. He released some forty albums over this period, composing the music and the majority of the lyrics. He released many hit singles, particularly between 1960 and the mid-1970s.
Sous couvert de venir étudier le droit à Paris, Léo va au cinéma, drague les filles (du moins essaye) et travaille son piano en solitaire. Pendant l'Occupation, Léo Ferré retourne au Pays et entre deux gagne-pains prend des leçons de composition et de contrepoint à Nice avec Léonid Sabaniev, un disciple de Scriabine.
