The Prodigy are an English electronic dance music band formed in Braintree, Essex, in 1990 by producer, keyboardist, and songwriter Liam Howlett. The original line-up also featured dancer and vocalist Keith Flint, dancer and occasional live keyboardist Leeroy Thornhill, dancer Sharky, and MC and vocalist Maxim.

The Prodigy ( englisch Das Wunder, Wunderkind) ist eine englische Band, die Anfang der 1990er-Jahre Breakbeats in der Elektronischen Tanzmusik populär machte. Die Band orientierte sich in der Anfangsphase an Acid House und Techno der frühen 1990er und entwickelte später ihren eigenen Stil, der neue Stile wie Hardcore und Jungle einbezog.
