Westlife ist eine irische als Boygroup gestartete Band. Sie formierte sich im Sommer 1998 unter Mitwirkung des Musikproduzenten Louis Walsh . Mit balladesken Popsongs stiegen Westlife insbesondere in ihrem Heimatland und in Großbritannien zu einer äußerst erfolgreichen Band auf.
