2. Nov. 2023 · Interestingly, the group also recruited another white keyboardist, Ronnie Gorden, although it is uncertain whether it was by coincidence or for the sake of continuity. Making their reintroduction to the world, The Bar-Kays showcased their new faces and sound on their sophomore LP, Gotta Groove, in 1969.

3. Dez. 2021 · Finding solace in music, the duo chose to channel their devastation and rebuild the band, adding organist Ron Gorden, saxophonist Harvey Henderson, and guitarist Michael Toles. This time, they also enlisted a vocalist, Larry Dodson, as well as two drummers: Roy Cunningham (brother of the late bandmember Carl) and Willie Hall.
