The British Armed Forces are the military forces responsible for the defence of the United Kingdom, its Overseas Territories and the Crown Dependencies. They also promote the UK's wider interests, support international peacekeeping efforts and provide humanitarian aid. [6]

Nachdem Ende Juni 2019 die letzte Einheit der Royal Air Force auf deutschem Boden, der Rechtsberatungsdienst für britische Soldaten (auch der British Army ), aufgelöst wurde, [3] werden die in Deutschland verbliebenen britischen Truppen seit September 2019 als British Army Germany bezeichnet.
