7. Dez. 2018 · Batten accused former leader Nigel Farage of lying about his views on Islam and Tommy Robinson. He said he wanted to transform UKIP into a "mass movement" and had five MEPs left in the European Parliament.
3. Juni 2019 · Gerard Batten quit as UKIP leader after the party failed to win any seats in the European Parliament. He had promised to step down if he lost his seat, which he did to Nigel Farage's Brexit Party.
