Sir Arnold Plant (29 April 1898 – 19 April 1978) was a British economist. [3] [4] [5] Biography. Plant was born in Hoxton, London, the son of a municipal librarian, William Charles Plant, and Thomasine Emily Plant. [6] [1] After attending Strand School, he worked for a mechanical engineering organisation.
The Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University is a botanical research institution and free public park, located in the Jamaica Plain and Roslindale neighborhoods of Boston, Massachusetts. Established in 1872, it is the oldest public arboretum in North America.

He attended the Strand School from 1909 to 1915, leaving at the beginning of the First World War to take up a job in an engineering factory.
