Als letztere reorganisiert wurde und 1890 den Universitätsstatus erhielt, änderte sich der Name der technischen Fakultät in École d’ingénieurs de l’Université de Lausanne. 1946 wurde sie auf den Namen École polytechnique de l’Université de Lausanne (EPUL) umgetauft. Im Jahre 1969 erfolgte die Trennung der EPUL von der Universität Lausanne.
