Chiaki Morosawa (両澤 千晶, Morosawa Chiaki, 28 March 1959 – 19 February 2016) was a Japanese anime screenwriter and the creator of the fictional universe of "Cosmic Era", the setting for the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED (for both of which she was the head writer) and its related series.
It was directed by Mitsuo Fukuda, with Chiaki Morosawa handling series scripts, Hirokazu Hisayuki designing the characters and monsters, Satoshi Shigeta serving as mechanical animation director and Toshihiko Sahashi composing the music. In the April 2008 edition of the Animage magazine, writer Chiaki Morosawa explained that although she has managed to complete the outline for the plot, the requirement of continuous treatment for her illness has led to the indefinite postponement of the project. Chiaki Morosawa later died on February 19, 2016.

Apr. 2024 · Drehbuch-Autorin Chiaki Morosawa, die auch den Plot für „Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny“ konzipierte, wurde danach allerdings so krank, dass eine Weiterarbeit am neuen Projekt nicht möglich war, deswegen wurden die Produktion immer weiter nach hinten verschoben. 2016 verstarb die Autorin, nachdem der Plot aber zum großen Teil fertig war.
