Macadam Stories (French: Asphalte) is a 2015 French comedy-drama film written and directed by Samuel Benchetrit, and based on the first volume of Benchetrit's autobiography Les Chroniques de l'Asphalte. The film was selected to be screened in the Special Screenings section at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.

A tower block on an inner city estate. An elevator that’s not up to the job. Three chance meetings. Six peculiar characters with stories to tell.
The film covers the stories of many people living in an apartment building. It opens with a tenant (Gustave Kervern) who doesn't feel responsible for paying a community bill. While exploring his life a little bit, it's mainly a distraction. Later in the film, he'll have conversations with a shy nurse (Valeria Bruni Tedeschi).
