Sehenswürdigkeiten. Barcelos in Nordportugal liegt am Rio Cávade, rund 60 km nördlich von Porto. Nach Braga sind es 22 km, zur portugiesischen Atlantikküste ca. 17 km. In Barcelo entstand einst die Legende vom »Hahn von Barcelos«, der heute eines der wichtigsten nationalen Symbole von Portugal ist.
