Fritz Paul Heinrich Otto Klingenberg (17 December 1912 – 23 March 1945) was a German officer in the Waffen-SS who served with the SS Division Das Reich and was a commander of the SS Division Götz von Berlichingen.
00.04.1945: SS-Oberführer (uncertain but surely posthumously) Fritz Klingenberg was born on 17th December 1912 in Rövershagen, Germany. He joined the SS-Verfügungstruppe in 1934. In 1935 he graduated from the SS-Junker-Schule in Bad Tölz and was promoted to SS-Untersturmführer.
The consummate SS man, Klingenberg was fairly tall, standing over 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 m). A photograph taken at Klingenberg’s Knight’s Cross presentation ceremony at the Berghof in 1941 shows him standing with Hitler.
