- About
The Elliott School of International Affairs (known as the Elliott School or ESIA) is the professional school of international relations, foreign policy, and international development of the George Washington University, in Washington, D.C.
The Elliott School of International Affairs offers two Joint-Degree programs: a Master of Arts and a Juris Doctor in cooperation with the Law School and a Master of Arts and a Master of Business Administration in cooperation with the School of Business.
Whether you know precisely what your goals are, or you’re still sorting that out, the Master of Arts in International Affairs (MAIA) program at the Elliott School from the George Washington University has the global reputation of excellence and the flexibility your priorities and interests require.
The Elliott School of International Affairs offers undergraduate and graduate programs to prepare individuals to understand and work in an increasingly globalized world. The historical roots of the Elliott School extend back to the establishment of the School of Comparative Jurisprudence and Diplomacy in 1898.
At the George Washington University, international affairs has been part of our curriculum for 125 years. Always with a focus on excellence, we have prepared students to shape the future of diplomacy, global governance, and international affairs, defined broadly, for over a century.
