The Jagiellonian University (Polish: Uniwersytet Jagielloński, UJ) is a public research university in Kraków, Poland. Founded in 1364 by King Casimir III the Great, it is the oldest university in Poland and the 13th oldest university in continuous operation in the world. It is regarded as Poland's most prestigious academic institution.
Die Jagiellonen-Universität in Krakau (auch Jagellonen -Universität; polnisch Uniwersytet Jagielloński (UJ), lateinisch Universitas Jagellonica Cracoviensis) wurde 1364 vom polnischen König Kasimir dem Großen als Studium Generale gegründet. 1817 erfolgte die Umbenennung in den heutigen Namen.
Narodowe Centrum Nauki (NCN) opublikowało pierwsze wyniki 8.edycji konkursu MINIATURA. Pięcioro naukowców Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego otrzyma dofinansowanie w wysokości ponad 150 tys. złotych na realizację działań naukowych, takich jak badania wstępne lub pilotażowe, wyjazdy badawcze i konsultacyjne.
