Otto (ou Othon) de Habsbourg-Lorraine (en allemand : Otto von Habsburg-Lothringen [1], en hongrois : Habsburg–Lotaringiai Ottó), archiduc d'Autriche, prince royal de Hongrie et de Bohême, est né le 20 novembre 1912 à Reichenau an der Rax [2] et mort le 4 juillet 2011 [3] à Pöcking, en Bavière .

Otto von Habsburg was Vice President (1957–1973) and President (1973–2004) of the International Paneuropean Union movement. From 1979 to 1999, he served as a Member of the European Parliament for the Christian Social Union of Bavaria (CSU).
The House of Lorraine (German: Haus Lothringen) originated as a cadet branch of the House of Metz. It inherited the Duchy of Lorraine in 1473 after the death without a male heir of Nicholas I, Duke of Lorraine.

Otto Habsburg-Lothringen died in Pöcking at the age of 98, surrounded by his family, on 4 July 2011. He was interred in the Imperial Crypt on 16 July 2011. Huge crowds flocked to witness the event. As a symbol of his close association with Hungary his heart was interred in the Benedictine Abbey of Pannonhalma in Hungary. Martin Mutschlechner.
