März 2024 · Om dit mogelijk te maken, hebben KU Leuven en UCLouvain samen een krachtig engagement genomen om samen 70 beurzen uit te reiken voor onder andere doctoraatsprojecten en onderzoeksverblijven. Deze beurzen kunnen Congolese onderzoekers de kans bieden samen te werken met Belgische collega’s, zowel in Congo als in België.
Over the years, Lovanium grew to include two Congolese universities, UNIKIN and UCC, and to this day there is close collaboration with the Belgian partners, KU Leuven and UCLouvain. In honour of Lovanium's 70th anniversary, KU Leuven and UCLouvain are jointly issuing 70 scholarships for research and teaching collaborations.

26. Jan. 2024 · Interuniversity cooperation with African partners received new impetus this March with two major visits to selected universities and research institutions in Congo and South Africa. Key result: new mobility opportunities for students, researchers and teaching staff as well as new avenues for research collaboration.
28. März 2023 · Out of Lovanium grew the University of Kinshasa (UNIKIN) and the Catholic University of Congo (UCC). Together with UCLouvain, the four universities celebrate this year's anniversary as a catalyst for a renewed, strengthened and forward-looking partnership. More than 70 years of shared history.
