Upper Marlboro, officially the Town of Upper Marlboro, is the seat of Prince George's County, Maryland. As of the 2020 census, the population within the town limits was 652, although Greater Upper Marlboro, which covers a large area outside the town limits, is many times larger.
Upper Marlboro is a small town and was built in the 1700s and the officially name is the "Town of Upper Marlboro" (often it is referred to as suburb of Washington D.C. The historic area of the city is only a few blocks with some interesting building.

About. The incorporated Town of Upper Marlboro is 0.8 square miles, one mile across and half a mile wide. Once a port town, the Town is on the Western Branch of the Patuxent River. The main stem of the Patuxent River, not far from the Town, forms the eastern border of Prince George’s County.
Originally a port town located along the Western Branch of the Patuxent River, Upper Marlboro played a prominent role in the sale and shipment of tobacco. Having survived the test of time, Upper Marlboro is one of Maryland's oldest surviving colonial towns.

Upper Marlboro is the seat of government for Prince George's County. The town itself is relatively small, but it is embedded within a much larger unincorporated area collectively called Greater Upper Marlboro, which includes Marlboro Meadows, Brock Hall, Marlboro Village, Queenland and Croom.
