The city is represented by several members of both houses of the Polish Parliament (Sejm and Senat) from the Białystok constituency. Białystok is represented by the Podlaskie and Warmian-Masurian constituency of the European Parliament.
Podlaskie and Warmian-Masurian ( Polish: podlaskie i warmińsko-mazurskie) is a constituency of the European Parliament. It consists of the Podlaskie Voivodeship and Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . The chief cities are Elbląg, Olsztyn and Białystok.
In the 2015 parliamentary elections, he ran for the Sejm in the Białystok constituency from the first place on the Nowoczesna list. He was elected as an MP of the 8th term, receiving 14,141 votes. [4]
In the 2019 parliamentary elections, he ran from the first place on the Democratic Left Alliance list in the Białystok parliamentary constituency (as part of an agreement between left-wing parties). He was elected as a member of the Sejm of the 9th term, receiving 13,455 votes.
In the 2019 parliamentary elections, he won a mandate as a member of the Sejm of the 9th term on behalf of the Polish People's Party, receiving 13,439 votes in the Białystok district. [8] [9] In February 2022, he became secretary of the Supreme Executive Committee of the Polish People's Party.
