Celine M. (Mirjam) van Praag (Schiedam, 11 november 1967) is een Nederlands econometrist en kroonlid van de Sociaal-Economische Raad. Zij was voorzitter van het College van Bestuur bij de Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
Mirjam van Praag is professor of Entrepreneurship and Leadership at the department of Management and Organisation of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Before joining the School of Business and Economics she was the president of the Management Board of the Vrije Universiteit.
4. Sept. 2023 · In 2018, Mirjam van Praag took over from Jaap Winter as the new President of the Executive Board of VU Amsterdam. After an almost six-year term, she is about to step down. But before she concludes this chapter, let's look back on the changes and milestones that have occurred during her presidency.
3. Nov. 2022 · Mirjam van Praag has decided to step down as president of the Executive Board of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam as of 1 September 2023, after having been in office for 5.5 years. She informed the Supervisory Board, staff and students of VU Amsterdam today.
6. Sept. 2023 · “During my presidency, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam has hopefully become a better place. And VU Amsterdam has also made me a better person and a better tactician”, says Mirjam van Praag, who said farewell as President of the Executive Board last Monday.
Prof Dr C. Mirjam van Praag is Maersk Mc-Kinney Møller Professor of Entrepreneurship at Copenhagen Business School, Department of Innovation and Organizational Economics. Besides she holds an unpaid position as a Professor of Entrepreneurship and Organization in the Amsterdam Business School of the University of Amsterdam.
