Breschnew lernte 1925 Viktoria Petrowna Denisova (1908–1995) kennen und heiratete sie 1928. Das Paar hatte eine Tochter Galina (1928–1998), die unter anderem mit dem Generalleutnant Juri Tschurbanow – 1982 Erster Stellvertretender Innenminister – verheiratet war, und einen Sohn Juri (1933–2013).
Galina Leonidovna Brezhneva (Russian: Галина Леонидовна Брежнева; 18 April 1929 – 30 June 1998) was the daughter of Soviet politician and longtime General Secretary Leonid Brezhnev and Viktoria Brezhneva.
Her husband, Evgenii Milaev, was only four years younger than her father and had been working in the circus since the age of eighteen. In 1950, he and his partners developed a unique act, involving tightrope walkers on a double ladder, which broke world records and brought fame to its creators.
