Affectionately known as WHiPS, there is a certain element that sets Waterkloof House Preparatory School apart from any other school its ethos is legendary.
Founded in 1923, Waterkloof House Preparatory School (WHPS) was run as a privately-owned concern for many years. However, headmaster, Wilf MacRobert, decided in 1964 to create a School Trust, which would assume ownership of the school, its property and buildings and a school council (“ Council “), which would take over the running and management of this private school for boys.
Although traditionally a boys’ Preparatory School, WHPS has recognised the need to fill this niche and has risen to the challenge by opening the Waterkloof House Pre-Prep School, fondly known as Whippets. This new addition to the WHPS family sees the introduction of a preschool accepting boys and girls for a two-year period in the preschool classrooms before they move to Grade 0.
2.1 A once-off non-refundable admission fee of R36 875.00, is required upon acceptance to the School. The following variants apply to pupils entering the various grades: 2.1.1 Grade 000 and 00 pupils pay R17 780.00 only, with a further R19 095.00 payable when they move to Grade 0.
