  3. Mar 22, 2020. Vivian Stanshall is the face of The Bonzo Dog Band, but in truth, there is also the musical talents of the late Neil Innes, and then someone called Roger Ruskin Spear. Mr. Spear played sax in the band and wore silly outfits. One wonders what a solo album would be like from this artist (visual as well as aural).

Roger Ruskin Spear (born 29 June 1943 in Hammersmith, London) is a sculptor, multimedia artist and multi-instrumentalist (saxophones, clarinet, piano, guitars, percussion) who was a member of the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band. After Spear dissolved his jazz band “New Jungle Orchestra” at the end of 1964, he joined the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band.
