31. Aug. 2021 · 50 years ago today (8/31/71), Dr. John released the well-received studio LP The Sun Moon & Herbs that featured Eric Clapton, Mick Jagger, Graham Bond, Carl Radle and Bobby Keys. While any Dr. John 70’s album is worth securing, The Sun, Moon and Herbs is an eclectic jewel that showcases The Night Tripper in one of his most exploratory recordings.
