The London Borough of Tower Hamlets is a borough of London, England. Situated on the north bank of the River Thames and immediately east of the City of London, the borough spans much of the traditional East End of London and includes much of the regenerated London Docklands area. The 2019 mid-year population for the borough is estimated at 324,745.
At New City College we help students realise possibility. With opportunities for everyone, we encourage our students to look beyond today and to reach their full potential. We are the fourth largest college group in the UK with campuses across Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Redbridge, Epping Forest and Havering.
T Levels are 80% classroom based. Students studying T Levels will spend 80% of the course in the classroom, where they learn the skills that employers need. The remaining 20% is spent in a meaningful industry placement, putting these skills into action. T Levels are a brand new, two-year qualification for 16-19-year-olds, equivalent to A Levels.
Our ALS team will help students to succeed and is open to all students at the college. Support can include in-class support, small group sessions, 1:1 support, drop-in support in our Learning Zone at our campus in Poplar and special exam arrangements. The team carry out assessments for all support needs including dyslexia, as requested.
