Carl Wayne (born August 18, 1943, Birmingham, England – died August 31, 2004, Birmingham, England) was a British singer and actor. He is perhaps best remembered as the lead singer of the Birmingham rock group The Move during the late 1960's.

The Move was formed during an impromptu after-hours jam session at Birmingham's legendary Cedar Club in February 1966. 'Moving' from the cream of the city bands were: Bev Bevan, Carl Wayne, Chris "Ace" Kefford (Carl Wayne & the Vikings); Roy Wood (The Nightriders); and Trevor Burton (Danny King & The Mayfair Set).

Wayne was born in Birmingham in 1943. He wanted to sing in a beat group and in 1963 he took over as temporary lead singer for the Vikings when Keith Powell was on holiday in Liverpool.
