British Political Leaders. Childhood & Early Life. Peter Alexander Rupert Carington was born on June 6, 1919, in Chelsea, London, England. He was the only son of Sybil Marion Colville and Rupert Victor John Carington, 5th Baron Carrington. He attended the 'Sandroyd School,' Cobham, Surrey, and later graduated from 'Eton College,' Eton, Berkshire.
History. Viscount Wendover (Albert Edward Charles Robert Wynn-Carington, 1895–1915) named on a memorial to the members of the Smiths' banking family who died in the World Wars. The first creation came in the Peerage of England in 1643 in favour of Sir Charles Smyth, who became Baron Carrington of Wootton Wawen, Warwickshire.

Leben. Er ist der einzige Sohn des britischen Außenministers Peter Carington, 6.Baron Carrington, aus dessen Ehe mit Iona McClean.. Er besuchte das Eton College und schloss sein Studium an der Universität Bristol als Bachelor of Science ab. Ab 1983 arbeitete er als Investmentbanker und Finanzberater. 1999 wurde er zu einem Deputy Lieutenant von Buckinghamshire ernannt.
