Miriam, Dowager Princess of Turnovo, Duchess in Saxony (née Doña Miriam Ungría y López; born 2 September 1963) is a Spanish gemologist, jewellery designer, and member of the Bulgarian royal family. She served as the Director of Fine Jewellery for the Spanish brand Carrera y Carrera, later forming her own brand, MdeU, in 2014.
Kardam, Prince of Tarnovo, Duke in Saxony (2 December 1962 – 7 April 2015) was the eldest son of Tsar Simeon II of Bulgaria and his wife, Doña Margarita Gómez-Acebo y Cejuela. Kardam was born after the abolition of the Bulgarian monarchy .

When Doña Miriam de Ungría y López married Kardam, Prince of Tarnovo, the eldest son of Tsar Simeon and Queen Margarita, in 1996, she wore Queen Giovanna’s Pearl and Diamond Tiara, a splendid jewel given to Princess Giovanna of Savoy from her parents, King Victor Emanuel III and Queen Elena of Italy when she married Tsar Boris III of Bulgaria in 1930.

After the death of Prince Kardam, on his initiative, a stone commemorative plaque was placed in memory of the Prince on the bank of the Jordan River.

Boris, Prince of Tarnovo, Duke in Saxony (born 12 October 1997, in Madrid), known by his Spanish civilian name Boris de Sajonia-Coburgo-Gotha y Ungría, is the elder son of Miriam Ungría y López and Kardam, Prince of Tarnovo, and the grandson of former Tsar Simeon II of Bulgaria. He is, after the death of his father on 7 April 2015, first in line of succession to the defunct Bulgarian throne.
