Robert B. Woodward, Cambridge (Mass) 1965 Leben Woodward wurde 1917 in Boston als einziges Kind des englischen Immigranten Arthur Woodward und der gebürtigen Schottin Margarett Burns geboren. 1938 heiratete er Irja Pullman, mit der er zwei Töchter hatte, 1946 Eudoxia Muller.
Robert Burns Woodward, né le 10 avril 1917 à Boston et mort le 8 juillet 1979 à Cambridge ( Massachusetts ), est un chimiste américain, lauréat du prix Nobel de chimie de 1965 1, connu pour ses travaux de synthèse chimique (quinine, cholestérol, cortisone).
