Auch das Folgealbum 12 Songs floppte. Ein Grund für den anfänglichen Misserfolg und dafür, dass meist andere Interpreten viel größere Erfolge mit Newman-Songs hatten als der Komponist, dürfte in der näselnden Stimme des Songwriters zu suchen sein.
