The Dells liked to re-record many of their songs especially the hits, in hopes of charting higher on the charts the second time around which many times they did. The group’s 1965 version charted at number 30 on the US Billboard R&B charts The Dells 1968 new version was an even more successful release as it hit the top 10 on the US Billboard Hot 100 peaking at number ten.
