Betty Washington Lewis (geboren als Elizabeth Washington; * 20. Juni 1733 in Westmoreland County, Colony of Virginia ; † 31. Fielding Lewis, a merchant, politician, and gun manufacturer during the American Revolution, is the subject of this mid-eighteenth-century oil portrait attributed to John Wollaston. Wollaston, an English painter, traveled for eighteen years throughout the American colonies and executed a number of formal portraits.
