  3. 21. Apr. 2023 · Chet Atkins was born in Luttrell, Tennessee in 1924. He grew up in a musical family and began playing the guitar at a young age. After serving in the military during World War II, Atkins moved to Nashville and began his career as a session musician. He quickly gained a reputation as a talented and versatile player, and soon began working as a producer for RCA Victor.
