Mark Mothersbaugh churns out a 90s video game-like score with few moments that actually sound like they belong in a proper movie. Much of it doesn't stand on its own I'm sorry to say. It's the sort of music kids will like while they are young but regard as a guilty pleasure in years to come. As an adult now I can just straight-up admit that I am not smitten.
