Rod Morgenstein is a professor in the Percussion department at Berklee College of Music, currently in his 20th year of teaching. He is a founding member of the ground-breaking progressive rock fusion group the Dixie Dregs, whose recordings have received six Grammy nominations for Best Rock Instrumental Performance.
Rod’s other projects include the Rudess/Morgenstein Project, an instrumental progressive power-duo, featuring Rod and Dream Theater keyboardist extraordinaire, Jordan Rudess, with two albums to their credit. Rod is is involved with jam band, Jazz Is Dead, which features creative improvisations of the music by the Grateful Dead. Another project is, Platypus, whose two recordings feature:

Rod Morgenstein (fødd 19. april 1953) er ein USA-amerikansk trommeslagar og musikklærar. Han er mest kjend for arbeidet sitt med rockebandet Winger og jazzfusion-bandet Dixie Dregs.
