3. Mai 2024 · Neil Diamond (born January 24, 1941, Brooklyn, New York, U.S.) is an American singer-songwriter. He began his career writing pop songs for other musicians and then launched a solo recording career that spanned more than five decades. Diamond’s interest in music began at age 16, when he obtained his first guitar.
It shot to number one, where it stayed seven weeks, becoming the biggest single of 1967. Diamond's debut LP, The Feel of Neil Diamond, released in August 1966, was a rush job, featuring "Cherry, Cherry" and "Solitary Man" along with his covers of hits like "La Bamba" and "Monday, Monday." It barely charted.

Okt. 2006 · Although Neil's first two albums have been digitized and covered on the compilation The Bang Years, I would much prefer a proper CD release of his first two albums The Feel Of Neil Diamond and Just for You. It would be great if it were offered as a two for one like so many early artist's albums have been presented.
