The "hard" rock sound appears on tracks such as "Reach Out" and "Shakin' the Cage" while a smooth blues tone is prevalent on "Night Life." "The Night and You" is a well written song that reminds me of "Pink Houses" by John Mellencamp (probably because the beginning sounds much the same). All in all, I think the band was about 15 years behind their time, but it is great music either way!
