Electric Light Orchestra ( ELO) é uma banda de rock britânica dos anos 1970 e 80, atualmente ressuscitada pelo líder e um dos antigos fundadores, o músico britânico Jeff Lynne . Depois de várias mudanças na formação, o grupo alcançou sucesso no final dos anos 1970 com ajuda da música disco.
Jeff Lynne (født 30. december 1947), er en engelsk sangskriver og pladeproducer. Han blev født i Birmingham i området "Shard End area of Birmingham", England. Han er bedst kendt som leder af bandet Electric Light Orchestra samt primus motor bag det hedengangne fritidsprojekt Traveling Wilburys .
Etter ein forholdsvis suksessrik turné, heldt Lynne fram i same stilen med Secret Messages i 1983, og eit siste ELO-album for å oppfylle kontraktsvilkåra, Balance of Power i 1986.
