Justin.tv was founded in 2007 by Justin Kan, Emmett Shear, Michael Seibel, and Kyle Vogt in San Francisco. The idea behind the company was to create a video streaming site that would allow anyone to create their own livecast. The company was named after its founder, Justin Kan, who became the face of the company by live streaming his life.
