5. Nov. 2014 · He became a full time writer after the success of his first book Hold my hand I'm dying. He ran a course in fiction writing from Andalusia in Spain. He passed away in November 2014 and is survived by his wife Rosemary. John Gordon Davis was born and grew up in Southern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). He had a degree in Political Science and an LLB.
Graphic story of Rhodesia as it headed towards UDI then independence as Zimbabwe. The dreams of both black and white Rhodesians/Zimbabweans of a multi racial country destroyed by the Mugabe years. And still the dreams fade under the current administration. A sad story that can only be appreciated by those who lived in and loved that country.
