Roberto Bosio was an off-duty captain (of the Costa Serena, the Concordia's sister ship) who was on his way home when the Concordia struck land. The moment the disaster started, he immediately took initiative and coordinated evacuation of crew and passengers when Schettino did not, risking his life by staying as long as he possibly could and being the last crew member remaining on the bridge.

Bosio, suspecting that ship is doomed, begins to co-ordinate the evacuation of the ship whilst, back on the bridge, video shows Captain Schettino seeming confused and dithering about what to do.

19. Juni 2023 · The ship chosen by the Italian company for India is the Costa Serena, which, after itineraries from Thailand, South Korea and Taiwan, will further extend its deployment in Asia. There are a total of 23 new sailings in India from 4 November 2023 to 1 January 2024, designed in collaboration with Costa’s General Sales Agent in India, Lotus Aero Enterprises.
