He returned to the academy in 1997, moving to Swarthmore College, where he teaches today. In 2004, he was elected to president of the National Economic Association, whose mission is to promote the professional lives of minorities in economics. Jefferson’s current research interests are in macroeconomics, poverty, and applied econometrics.

Mai 2023 · My remarks will be U.S. focused, fully understanding that other countries monitor financial stability similarly and that the health of the U.S. economy and financial system has an impact on other countries, and vice versa. A stable financial system is resilient even in the face of sharp downturns or stress events.
