Ernest Thompson Seton (14 agosto 1860 – 23 ottobre 1946) è stato un saggista, naturalista e disegnatore britannico naturalizzato statunitense. È noto soprattutto per essere stato un precursore dello scautismo, in anticipo anche rispetto allo stesso Robert Baden-Powell con il quale intrattenne una nutrita corrispondenza.

Ernest Thompson Seton (14 août 1860 - 23 octobre 1946), auteur canado-écossais (puis américain), très reconnu de son vivant, fut aussi artiste animalier, fondateur des Woodcraft Indians. Il fut sa vie durant ardent défenseur du monde sauvage et des Indiens - qui le nomment "The Chief". Son œuvre a fait l’objet au Japon de plusieurs adaptations en mangas et en séries d'animation.
Ernest Thompson Seton war ein bekannter schottisch-kanadischer Naturforscher, Schriftsteller, Illustrator und Maler. Seton war auch Mitbegründer der US-amerikanischen Pfadfinderbewegung.
